Ultra lightweight and extremely strong these Dreher™ sculling oars are perfect for slide seat rowing the Solo 14.
The offset asymmetric blade has proven to be very popular with rowers since their introduction several years ago. The symmetric traditional Macon style blade shown at page bottom is also available in carbon fiber.
Carbon Fiber Cleaver or Hatchet Style Blade - Lightweight. Ideal all around touring oars. Cushioned grip, black adjustable collars with red and green buttons and asymmetric blades. 9’6” - 289 cm
Carbon Fiber Club Style Blade - Sculling oars with handles that can be adjusted 41/2” or 10 cm. Lighter or shorter rowers can adjust these oars to ’gear down” or ease the power required by shortening the handles. Cushioned grip & white collars, black buttons, asymmetric blades 9’6”(+/-) 4” - 289 (+/-) 10 cm.
Carbon Fiber Macon Style Blade This shape was standard until the asymmetric offset chopper style blades became popular a few years ago. Some rowers still favor this older symmetric blade shape. Cushioned grip, black adjustable collars with red and green buttons and symmetric blades 9’6 - 289 cm
Traditional Oars
These lightweight Sitka Spruce traditional oars are well suited for fixed seat rowing and are the best available. They
are perfect for rowing with the fixed seats either from the forward position, the aft position, or utilizing both positions
with two rowers. 71/2 foot length for regular handle spacing or 8 foot for an overlapped grip.
